Activities on the site
La Source aux Lamantins is placed at the entrance to the Sine-Saloum Biosphere Reserve (RDBS). The bay of Sine Saloum is registered in the club of the most beautiful bays of the world. It is a place of observation of the nature, a place of dream for the ornithologists and the botanists. We offer canoe trips along mangrove hemmed bolongs, hiking or horseback riding in the forest with guides trained in collaboration with IUCN.
Many activities are available within the hotel:
- Reading in the library of 900 books for adults and children
- The rich video library of more than 200 films including the complete collection of films by Ousmane Sembene
- Yoga from 7 am to 8 am every morning on the pontoon
- Visit the magic garden of medicinal plants and vegetable garden
- Swimming for children at the pool and for adults in the bolong
- Board games: cards, balls, scrabble etc.
To better integrate you into the culture serer, we offer you footbridges through workshops such as percussion, African dance, basketry, weaving, traditional medicine, choir, fishing, cooking; Please specify your workshop when booking.

You will meet at the source to the manatees of the fishermen posing their traps, tradipraticians picking plants in our botanical garden and craftsmen. The bolong is an ideal body of water for kayaking, pedalo rides, hobbies, fishing or just swimming.
In family
Children are welcome! Children under 3 stay for free and under 12, pay 1/2 price of an adult rate. As well, we can provide baby cribs if needed. A special menu is provided for them on your request.
We would love to celebrate your birthday while visiting with us. Please let us know when booking so that we can make something special. Activities are planned for the Mboutiambouthie club. For babies, in-room cots and bathing equipment are provided on request when booking.
