News

La Source Aux Lamantins is a cultural melting pot, heart beating, vibrating to the rhythm of fortuitous encounters – or provoked! – between visitors and local populations. Upon your arrival, you are struck by the beauty of the landscape and you finally feel at home in the middle of nature. We are located on the banks of an arm of sea or bolong, in the heart of the country Sérère, 1km from the birthplace of Léopold Sédar Senghor.

La Source aux Lamantins is also a training center for the Keur Yakaar school which receives free tourism training for young people from several rural communities in the area.

If you want to spend your vacation of discovery and relaxation in Senegal, to know its youth and at the same time participate in its development, come and stay with us!

Culture and Social Connection

Culture and social bond are the pillars of La Source aux Lamantins.  So the team at your disposal is a family. The inhabitants of the town have free access to the garden of medicinal plants, to the numerous conferences scheduled throughout the year as well as to the library and the WIFI area for high school students who wish it.

Local development

Our purchases are made to the nearest and we strive to share with the locality the benefits of tourism. We work, for example, in collaboration with the Kaydara farm-school, which supplies us with organic fruits and vegetables, as well as poultry. The women of the Nanoor GIE who provide us with syrups and processed seeds.

Eco-responsible approach

The respect of our beautiful environment is for us an evidence.  A few examples of good practices that we have implemented: solar lanterns, replanting of the mangrove to preserve the ecosystem, electric fans in the room, etc.
